What was your experience in athletics growing up? Which sports did you play?
I played baseball my entire childhood. My family was very involved in athletics; my parents were always involved in sports as were some of my brothers & sister. As kids we were enrolled in the “Walter Rieck’s Sports Camp,” on the weekends. My dad would take us to the park & run baseball/softball drills, basketball scenarios & football plays.
How long have you been involved in TSL sports? Which ones?
I have been involved with TSL since 2013 when I started playing kickball on Saturday afternoons. I eventually became League Commission for several seasons. I currently play in the Tuesday Night Volleyball League & have for 2-3 years now.
What is your favorite TSL sport & why?
Definitely volleyball! Since playing TSL volleyball, I have created so many different friendships that I never would have built without playing!
Why are organizations like TSL so important to the LGBTA Community?
TSL is vital to the LGBTA community for so many reasons. It fosters an environment where LGBT people can come & be who they are without fear of judgement or discrimination.
